Like Mother, Like Daughter
Isn’t it crazy how much we take after our parents? As I’ve gotten older, I see more and more of my mother in myself, which I think is a great thing, albeit creepy. It got me thinking of other mothers and their daughters, specifically the incredibly gorgeous style icon Jane Birkin and her two beautiful daughters Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon. Both women have inherited their mother’s effortlessly chic, incredibly individual, tomboyish, sexy style. On a side note, I’m happy that I’m growing my hair out so that maybe next year at this time my hair might look as tousled and sexy as theirs.

I think what I love most about this look is that most women could NEVER pull this off, nor would most ever try. However, for Charlotte to throw on a rather severe, yet fabulous, Balenciaga dress with chunky Balenciaga shoes just looks right because her make-up and hair is very understated. Also, there’s something very chic about a woman who posesses the confidence to wear heels and tower over her man.
